Rachel + Dan | Killington Vermont Wedding

I knew from our first meeting that these were kindred spirits, easygoing, quick to laugh, and a love of adventure, definitely my kind of people! As luck would have it my best friend, previous business partner and super talented photographer, Jess Latos, was available to photograph this wedding with me. We had so much fun capturing all the laughter and hugs (and there were a record number of hugs).

The day began with family and close friends hanging out around The Summit Lodge + Resort as Rachel’s friend, Laura, did her hair and makeup. After a gluten free sandwich we did portraits around the grounds followed by a unique, and truly magical, Ketubah signing, outside, surrounded by all their guests. Rachel and Dan walked down the isle hand in hand to their wedding ceremony and gave touching vows. They also had each of their siblings say a few words. The reception included speeches from each set of parents that had everyone either in tears or stitches, and the dance party was epic.

Eleonore + Mike | Killington Vermont Wedding

What an absolutely perfect day filled with laughter and tears! Eleonore and Mike had the kind of wedding you hold in your thoughts until long after the day has ended. Their love and appreciation for each other is palpable.

The pair were married at The Summit Lodge + Resort in Killington Vermont. They shared private vows in the garden as their dog, Ziggy, roamed around them followed by a ceremony in front of family and friends. After a shot to take the edge off everyone was ready to party, but not before a few touching speeches that had everyone in tears again.

Nell + Alex | Winter Vermont Wedding

Nell and Alex were very much looking forward to their winter wedding at Round Barn Farm in Waitsfield, Vermont. What they got was an epic snow storm! But it didn’t deter this adventurous pair and their guests from having an awesome event.

Highlights included, snowy portraits, the most beautiful bouquets by A School House Garden, the way Nell’s mom looked at her throughout the day, some of the best toasts I’ve ever heard and the incredible cake by Blue House Bake Shop who really made Nell’s vision come to life.

The whole day was magic and the perfect way for these two avid skiers to start their married life together.

Kallah + Zeke | Vermont Wedding

Kallah and Zeke had been patiently awaiting their dream wedding. After many set backs in the last few years it magically came together on the most perfect autumn day, at a friend’s private residence in Brownsville, Vermont with mountainous views, under a full moon.

While the day had lots of spooky season vibes, the real theme was family. And everyone in this pair’s life is treated like family. (See below for all the warm + fuzzy moments.) Zeke’s cousins Ethan + Olivia along with family friend Jenny provided the delicious food and cake, and Dana + Brian took on the role of bartenders. Everyone chipped in to make this day unforgettable.

Rachel + Sawyer | Stowe Vermont Wedding

When you stumble upon something special, ‘don’t waste it.’ Rachel and Sawyer’s chance encounter lead to a partnership for the ages and an epic destination wedding. Their love and respect for one another, as well as for the people in their lives, is palpable and inspiring.

I got to spend three awesome days with this incredible group of people who made me feel like family. The welcome dinner greeted guests with burgers, ice cream, live music and an open fire. The festivities continued the next night with a dinner at the Tipsy Trout at Spruce Peak. The Spruce Peak staff, NJOY Event Planners and Bramble and Bloom Designs pulled off the most beautiful spur of the moment dinner due to a last minute change in venue. Then came the main event where the pair exchanged emotional vows to each other and Sawyer’s daughter at the Stowe Community Church. Afterwards we all walked down the street to celebrate with victuals at PLATE.

Joy + Nick

My kind, compassionate, beautiful cousin is married! Joy said ‘I do’ to the love of her life, Nick, at Springfield Manor in Thurmont, Maryland. These two are perfectly matched in every way and have supported each other through multiple triumphs, losses, and growth. A few highlights for me were… of course seeing Joy in a wedding dress; the pair’s dog, Duke, participating in the festivities; the groomsman flower guy with the fanny pack full of petals; and witnessing the way Nick cares for Joy.

If you have visited Woodstock, Vermont you have most likely experienced The Yankee Bookshop and enjoyed shelves of carefully selected books and treasures. Then stepped outside to take a photo of that adorable yellow awning.

If you live in Woodstock, this independent bookshop is a downtown staple and owners, Kari & Kristian, are beloved community members. We were all excited when they set a date and I was honored when they asked me to document their event.

The pair were married on Halloween at the East End Park in Woodstock with their immediate family members as witnesses. The ceremony was preformed by Rev. Dr. Leon Dunkley, Minister at North Chapel. Kari’s hair and makeup were done by the talented ladies at Splendid Chaos Full Service Salon.

Staci + Chris

Jess and I have always referred to events as ‘wedding adventures’ because in life little, if anything, goes as planned. Well this whole year has been and continues to be an adventure and Staci and Chris’ wedding, like so many, was one of those events swept up in it. But that did not stop them from having a day to remember. The pair, three of their children, and the family dog had a heart warming ceremony at the Forest Center in Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park while their planner, Kristin from Day of Joy Events, live streamed the event for everyone to witness. It was the perfect fall day to walk around Woodstock Vermont, take a carriage ride and exchange vows.

Marie + Ben

I was so thrilled to be available to photograph my cousin-in-law’s wedding in November of 2018. Marie and Ben were married at the Green Hill Country Club in Quantico Maryland. Marie is the youngest of her siblings and the last to get married which means nieces and nephews! These little ones created plenty of extra excitement and cuteness to the day. It was also Marie’s parent’s 40 wedding anniversary!

This pair is a great match and both are so much fun. It was wonderful to get to know Ben better and see his affection for Marie. We don’t spend nearly enough time with my husband’s family so moments like this are especially cherished.

Meredith + Mark

In August of 2018 I had the joy of photographing Meredith and Mark’s celebration. The pair had a very intimate ceremony in Maine the month before and then an awesome party to celebrate. The party took place at 5 Birds Farm, an organic hemp, garlic, and lavender farm in Woodstock Vermont overlooking the mountains. Meredith looked incredible in her BHLDN dress and the food by Farmers & Foragers was amazing. Another highlight were the speeches. This is one of my favorite parts of an event, where you get to learn more about your clients through the eyes of their loved ones. This union was well celebrated!
